The case study details how Storetec transformed its operations with ibml FUSiON scanners to improve turnaround times, image quality, and operational flexibility
BIRMINGHAM, AL, UNITED STATES, August 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — ibml has published a new case study examining how Storetec Services Ltd. upgraded its document scanning infrastructure to improve processing efficiency, image quality, operational flexibility, and turnaround times.
Storetec is a UK-based document scanning and records management provider that has served organizations across the medical, insurance, engineering, legal, pharmaceutical, and education sectors for more than 20 years. As client demand increased, the company recognized the need to streamline document preparation and post-processing to support continued growth without significant operational disruption.
In 2023, Storetec transitioned its primary scanning operations to three ibml FUSiON scanners, replacing older equipment while retaining existing ibml DS scanners as backup systems. The new scanners brought advanced imaging, superior paper handling, automated data extraction, multi-stream output, dynamic image enhancement, and real-time intelligence into Storetec’s production environment.
According to the case study, the implementation has helped Storetec improve processing speeds, and their team can now process 100 boxes of documents in three to four hours. The company also reported improvements in optical character recognition accuracy and image clarity, reducing the need for rescans. More than half of Storetec’s shop floor employees can now operate the FUSiON scanners, helping the business respond to periods of high demand.
The case study also describes faster customer onboarding. Storetec reported that new accounts can be configured and operational in as little as one day, allowing the company to begin urgent projects more quickly.
“The ability to quickly train staff on the FUSiON scanners and get them up to speed has been invaluable. More than 50 percent of our shop floor staff can now use the FUSiON scanners effectively, which means we’re always prepared for high-demand periods,” said Craig Gardham, technical production manager at Storetec.
The full case study, “Storetec Enhances Efficiency and Growth with ibml FUSiON Scanners,” is available through ibml’s website and outlines the company’s challenges, implementation approach, and reported operational results for its growing customer base. It also reviews Storetec’s plans to support continued expansion.
